Is Memory supposed to look like this?

That is memory, but what is the problem?
I can't tell from the picture?

Was it wet? Damaged?

Or are you trying to figure out if it goes to your particular machine?
Then we need details about your machine to know?

Looks fine, Crucial has a lifetime warranty on their RAM so just open it up and put it in (if you ordered the right type of course). Then if it doesn't work send it back. But I think you are making a big deal out of nothing.

The little white stuff was on outside of packet I thought it was inside, did diagnostics tests with Memtest x86 and PC's own diagnostic tester no errors. Installed it no difference from 512MB ram. Get a bit more speed that's it.

Everything fine.

Well it looks good to me as long as there is nothing wrong with the memory stick itself then there is no problems and you can really expect a huge difference in going from 512mb to 1 gig now if you want more performance than i suggest either putting your other stick of 512 in the other slot or just buying another gig, also did you make sure to put the 1 gig stick in the first slot?
