Is this processor compatible?

Athlon 64 x2 4200+ with a Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS

If its not what would be a good motherboard thats compatible?
 
The Athlon will not work with that motherboard as it is socket AM3+

You need a socket AM2 board, Or an AM2+.
