Ok, so. I recently bought an Acer Aspire Revo 3610 from my local Fry's, drawn in by the NVIDIA ION GPU and 1080p capabilities. I saw videos on Youtube of the ION running counter strike source on high settings at 1024x768 with ~60 FPS on an ASRock ION 330. When I tried it at the same resolution with DirectX 7 and all graphics turned down to low, I was barely getting 20 FPS.
My question is, what is the problem here? I even tried playing Urban Terror (An fps based on the quake 3 engine) and it is laggy as well.
BTW, I have the graphics drivers updated to 196.21.
