Keyboard and mouse dont work in safe mode windows 10

This morning I tried to get rid of a virus called stack player. I looked on the web and one of the steps was to reboot in safe mode. my problem is that when in safe mode its as if all the ports leading to the motherboard are disabled and I cannot use my mouse and keyboard to log into my account. It also shows that my ethernet cable is not plugged in when it clearly is. I know its not a problem with my mouse and keyboard because I still have access to my BIOS menu before I enter safe mode and my KB+mouse work fine . PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Ok, I just figured woth networking you might be able to get online.. I'm sure someone here can help you.
