LCD monitor flashes to black screen

I have a SAMSUNG SyncMaster 940BF monitor (it's 2 years old), and the problem

is that when I first turn it on, it flashes to a black screen a few times; only after I push

the on/off button a few times, it displays normally.

Also, sometimes, these first few times it makes a sharp buzzing noise.

Any ideas about what could be the problem?

Make sure the power cord is not loose and check all video cable connections. Clean any dust from the back vents too. I have a Samsung SyncMaster 245bw that is 4 years old, and it works beautifully
