Linus Torvalds is "fed up" with making kernel changes to address faulty hardware

An unexpected amount of dislike for Linus here.
Yes he's a bit of a grump. But that's understandable he is still very involved in what gets approved for the Linux kernel. And he does have a point.
Yes he does have wealth but he doesn't seem to spend it on nonsense and it's mostly from been given shares in Redhat.

Imo one of the most respectable people. Wrote the Linux kernel and is still majorly involved in maintaining it. Powers more devices than anything else, Linux on the desktop might be small but on smartphones, routers and servers etc etc it reigns supreme.
Him being fed up with other versioning systems made him write GIT, the now most used versioning system. He's probably been the most influential tech guy that hardly anyone has heard about.

So that's twice he made something that's ended up being the most popular. When he speaks maybe we should listen instead of dismissing it.
