Maxtor Diamondmax 22 and EPoX 865 problem

Hi, Ive just recently purchased a SATA Maxtor diamondMax 22 500 gig HDD. Having problems installing Vista Ultimate as i cant get it to recoganise the drive during installation. I have an Intel EPoX 865/875/848 MoBo (cant tell which but thats what the MoBo install CD says its for)

Anyone tell me which drivers i need to get it working?

the problem most likely is that the hard drive is not formatted and will need to be before it can be used. if the install disk will not recognize it put in a computer that has windows on it and it will either be seen in my computer or Device Manger and can be formatted the first time there. just let windows do it.
