media players not working well!

I just reformat my laptop, and wanted to play a clip it plays it with bright colours, green, red, orange, blue, purple. i can slightly see the image but not clear. the clip work fine on my other PC. I tryed useing real player and windows media player.
has this happend to anyone and know the solution. coz i would realy like to fix this! thx.

Windows media player/Tools/Options/Plugins/Visualizations/Properties/Change the resolution,and see if that improves anything.

After reformatting, did you reinstall all of your drivers?

Graphics card driver, motherboard drivers, soundcard drivers, etc. Check in the Device Manager to see what, if any, devices are having driver problems. There should be a yellow exclamation mark next to any devices with driver problems.
