Mobo RAM question

I am adding some RAM to a friends computer and have come across quite a unique problem. I told him to go to crucial.com, put in his mobo board make, and then his model and it will tell him what RAM he needs to by so I can pop it in for him. His Mobo is an Elitegroup (ECS) P4VMM2. I got the RAM which is PC3200 512 Mb 184 pin. I opened his computer and he has 4 memory slots in his computer. 2-DDR slots and 2SD DDR slots. I go to the ECS website and download the manual and it doesn't show the SD DDR slot's, just the DDR slots. I removed the PC 133 card and installed the new DDR card and it will not even try to boot up. Has anyone seen this before? If so, how can I get the DDR slots to start working and disable the SD DDR slots?

i thought that mobo only supported DDR266. don't worry, DDR400 is backwards compatible with 266/333.

is the new RAM installed in the first slot (bank 0)? RAM needs to be installed in bank 0 first, filling 1, 2, and 3 as more RAM is added.

the black slots are SD RAM

the blue slots are DDR RAM

can only use one Kind at a time..
read manual for jumper settings or BIOS configuration.
