Monitor being wierd

hello guys =)

so this is rather embarrassing, but I went to load age of mythologies titan earlier as soon as my computer booted. no issues. but when I exited the game, the entire image on my monitor shifted to the left. I used the buttons on my monitor to shift it right, but at the maximum setting it only fixed 1/3 of the problem lol. I have no idea what happened or how to fix it, and ive googled it. any suggestions like unplugging the monitor, if that would work or something?

Yes unplug and disconnect the monitor from the computer. Try another monitor, and if it displays correctly, reconnect the original monitor and see if it displays correctly once more
