Monitor Problem......

I am currently haveing a problem with my samtron monitor....
today is feb 26 and i took off the side pannel to see if i could upgrade the graphicd card.....i then noticed that the inside of the computer was filthy as all hell.....i proceeded to clean the inside with some compressed air and after i was done and pluged the monitor and stuff back in.....the RED and some YELLOW colour of the monitor dissapeared.....is there a way i can het it back?



Also i have a NVIDIA VANTA 3d 8 mb card...can i upgrade without buying a new mother board?

What are your computer specs?

Is it a windows computer? Because I've never sen a windoes computer with 8 mb graphix card. I've only seen macs like that.

Huh???

The tower says that its a compac prasiro with windows ME but we have the pro edition installed......im not sure how to check the specs on the comuter

use everest or SIW to check what hardware you have on your machine (google for them)

have you tried to use the monitor on a different machine?
reseat the vga cable, maybe wiggle it abit from the monitor end and the pc end see if it helps
reseat the vid card, if you removed it..

doubt the mobo has any issue in this...
