Motherboard and Ram

Hi, i dont know if this is the right place to post this but i have a question about motherboard and ram. Currently i have ASRock P43Twins1600 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard with 4gb of DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) ram installed. And Intel 9400 cpu. I know this motherboard support up to 8gb of ram. So my question is can i add another 4gb PC8500 DDR2 1066MHz ram on top of the orignal 4gb? Thanks

It would probably work, the PC2-8500 ram would just run at PC2-6400 speeds if it did. You might run into some sort of conflict between the two types of memory but it should work if you set the timings (PC2-6400) manually. You would have to figure out where the faster RAM is comfortable running at 800mhz though... and underclock.
