Multiple Soundcard

I have a mia PCI soundcard and a soundblaster AWE64 ISA soundcard. I had the Mia installed first, and then installed the creative soundcard.

However, when I installed the soundblaster soundcard, and assigned midi and audio to be played through this soundcard, no sound came out!!

I know this is probably a newbie question but any help would be greatly appreciated.
