My mic doesnt work with realtech hd audio

ok so i have my mic plugged into the mic port on my pc

but what other people hear is exactly what i am hearing in my headsets

its not quiet or anything its like im acting as a mirror to the sound any hep would b apreciated

Did you install the drivers for the onboard sound?
Did you update the drivers?
Is the MIC turn on or disabled.
Check the control panel for sound features
Or right click on the speaker next to the clock
click on options then advance control
click on properties then Recordings make sure it turn on..

no i tried all those things
basicalyl what i am hearing is what people are hearing from me

It is due to an security update by Microsoft. Search around on google. I know I had to uninstall the particular update to get it working again. But I am not sure what the number was.
