My new 7600GT is performing poor in games!

i just bought the 7600gt a week ago to replace my old ATI radeon x300 SE card because of how it was performing in counter strike source and in 1.6. In source im only managing to get a max of 50 fps on dust 2 and in 1.6 im not gettign a stable 100fps. can anyone help?

Pentium 4 3.6 GHz
2 Gig of RAM
7600 GT PCI-E
350 watt PSU

Second video graphics card. Second performance issue. Increase your memory, and get a better power supply.

yah i uninstalled the old drivers before installing the new ones

Anything over 25 is actually good...

Now if you have crashes and rubberbanding and other extremely irritating issues...

7600GT is not a great card these days, anything near 50 FPS in newer games would be awesome for that card.

Basically we need more info on actual problems, FPS rate is not an actual problem. 8)

another thing is that when i start playing cs 1.6 i get a stable 100fps for the first minute no matter how much ppl are on screen, but then after that minute it drops down to 90 aand below. i'll try those drivers, im currently using the 94.24 drivers
