My Sims 1 won't install

Hi.
I've been trying to install the Sims 1 for a while now. I have Windows Vista and whenever I go to install Sims 1, it gets to 16% then stops. After a couple of seconds the window says "Not Responding" then a message comes up saying Error then Aborts the installation. I have tried restarting my laptop but it still doesn't work. The game disk has no major scratches and I've cleaned it just to make sure and the game still won't install. Help please?

That could help...

What he means is right click on the disc in Computer and choose "Run as Administrator". Also, check the back of the disc.
