Better answer: your premise is faulty. These existing firms already have their compute resources. The shortage is primarily impacting new players trying to enter the market.
Land grabs? Just the 15 million illegals who entered the country during the last administration are using an amount of land for housing more than 100 times as much as all datacenters combined ... and our population density is still only a third of Europe's. Land is one thing we have plenty of.

Note that Trump's first term actually managed to reverse that trend-- until Covid struck. Biden never managed to even regain pre-Covid levels, and in fact lost labor force participation his entire last year in office.
