Need Help With IF Function

I use it about once in 10 years, and always have a hard time
figuring it out.

I've got a cell in Excel that I want to show a number if another cell
is greater than 0, or 0 if the other cell does not contain a numerical value.

I've tried IF(B4>0,20,0)

what's wrong?

I think you might need an equal sign in the front, like:

=IF(B4>0,(20),0)

Yup! I thought maybe I'd formatted the cell as text or something.

But then I went back and looked at the Help info again,
and all of a sudden it hit me.

Blind in 1 eye and can't see out of the other! :-(

No problem, I don't actually know anything about Excel, but I did a google search for an example of an IF statement, and converted it to your situation

Amazing what a quick Google search can find out!
