Need help with W7

How big is the file? I don't know anything about them but if the file is small, post it and maybe someone else can help you.

I think there is a mis understanding here. ALL my attachments in this thread are done by clicking Upload a file.
In post # 57 what exactly are you referring to? Thats is where I'm confused.

If you're talking about post 47, "Don't know how big the dmp file is, but if it's small, maybe attach that to your post and hopefully someone can decipher and let you know what the problem is.",
it does not exist. when I click on it, I get the image in post # 50.
So I'm confused on how to post something that doesn't exist.
Ok, here is the path showing it is empty

Thought you found it? What's that file you had in post #56? In your screen cap above, looks like you have Users> AppData, instead of Users>Thomas Paine>AppData.

Well, I'm confused as well, because looked like you found it at one point.

If GE the program doesn't work, what about the browser plugin? Have you tried that? It's a browser plugin so it lacks a lot of the features that you'll find in the program but depends on what you need, might be enough.

I'm confused because there is no THOMAS~1. Going Users>Thomas Paine> there is no AppData
"THOMAS~1" is the short 8 Character name for your long name "Thomas Paine". When long file names were created, they had to keep a short filename for compatibility. So every file/folder longer than 8 characters, has a short name as well as its full long name.

Thank you cliffordcooley. I did check the plug in & it is up to date

The image in post # 56 & 66 I relocated it & it is on my desktop sitting there. If I click the change box,it gives me options on how to open it.

Below that is Advanced which gives me other choices.
What I'm asking is how do I find the dmp file to upload it?

If you relocated it to your desktop, the address should be something like "C:\users\owner\desktop".

From the properties dialog box, look under the location line for the address to the file you are viewing properties of.

This is what I'm telling you is on my desktop
ON MY DESKTOP.jpg
If I click change, I get the first attached image in post #72. If I click Advanced, I get the lower image in same post.
The image in post # 66 is just sitting on my desktop. I can move it any place on my desktop which is why I'm trying to find out what next. It is NOT an icon.
I hope you aren't as confused as I am.

Yes, I am. So the dmp file is still where it's at, but the property box is still showing on the desktop? And you're still attempting to locate the dmp file?
