I have a Realtek AC97 card (On XP) that I just updated yesterday to fix this problem...but it hasn't worked.
Long story short, I need "Mic Boost" turned on in order to have my recorded voice not sound like I'm talking from a mile away, BUT when I go to the sound properties where I should turn it on, I instead have a "ADC" option (or something like that) and it does nothing.
Do I need to un-install, re-install, or what? It's been giving myself and my friend fits for the last 48 hours trying to figure it out.
Any help would be great.
