Netgear problem?

Greetings!

I'm using the netgear MR814V2 wireless router now.

I can use the internet flawlessly when only I am connected to the internet through the wireless signal.

But when my housemate connects the the modem using a ethernet cable, both of us can't access the internet.

I have tried every setting on the router setup page and can't find a option that blocks the ip/mac ethernet address of a computer. I have setup the computer to only allow my wireless mac address to connect to the router, and have tried to switch off that flitering to allow ALL computers access but to no avail.

Any suggestions??

The only thing connected to the modem should be the router and all computers should connect to the router. Usually ISPs do not allow multiple connections and that's why people use routers - to share the one allowed connection.
