New Intel Core i9-12900K sample spotted with DDR5-8000 RAM

You don't need any of that. Heatsinks on RAM modules are for show, mostly.

Sorry but disagree with this. I've seen system instability from a machine that had memory running to hot. Due to excessive voltage while tweaking. Heatsinks are Air flow are required on memory when you start increasing the voltage.

So why then, if Intel is "stuck with their owns fabs Al least according to you, are all the AMD fanboys skirting the issue of Intel breaking ground on 3 or 4 new fabs.

I suppose they'll ostensibly be, "stuck" with those as well./

BTW, didn't Intel bid successfully on TSMC's future 5 nm production? Or did we conveniently miss that blurb?"
Yeah because while AMD grabs around 30% of TSMC's production, Intel will grab around 3%. Intel will also use TSMC mostly for low end chips because they want to make high performance chips on their own fabs. So yeah, basically Intel is stuck with own fabs just like AMD is stuck with TSMC despite using GlobalFoundries as well.

You apparently choose not to distinguish the definition between "stuck with", and "satisfied with" their own facilities. Spin it your way, it seems like you have the need..

To put it another way: If Intel suddenly has no access to own fabs, Intel will be bankrupted quite soon. Intel's business is depending on own fabs and those must be at least some way competitive. Intel has bought more capacity from other fabs long time, buying something from TSMC is nothing new.

Yeah, I know what you mean. If some terrorist blew up all of Intel's fabs in one day. They'd be up Shitt's crick.

Really, is that all you've got?

Original claim was:
AMD's advantage is that they could use any manufacturer, except Intel of course. While they may partially use TSMC too, mostly Intel is stuck with their own fabs.
I see nothing badly wrong there.

Poor Intel...(stuck with their fabs...)

Hey, maybe the UAE will build a twin to this in NYC.

At 2,700 feet tall, it would provide the perfect practice target for "Al Qaeda Airlines".. :scream:
