You’re really not understanding the point are you. The point is about DDR4 vs DDR5 which effectively still never mattered due to the chips available with that choice. A 5800X3D was the better choice on a budget with DDR4 and AM5 was the better choice if you wanted DDR5. As they’re different platforms with no crossover in RAM generation the performance gap, large or small, never mattered.

Couldn't agree more - 90%+ of 300A (Was completely unlocked & I didn't get particular about my mother boards) had a 50% overclock without any special coolers and just worked. It was one of the cheapest CPUs and that easy overclock made it a classic once the word got out as the one to get - remember the internet was just getting going with AOL/Compuserve and dial up that eventually got to 56k modems that rarely got much faster than somewhere in the 40K dial up speed. After that 300A (which I kept for 4 or 5 years and then went with AMD all the way up to an FX 8300 and finally being rewarded with the AM4 Ryzen 5 1600 (still running AM4 and stayed with that B450 MB all the way up to today with a Ryzen 7 5700G that is more than adequate as I am no longer a gamer and that does a more than adequate job editing video files with Handbrake. ( Also, our Xbox 360 was our streaming box & became one of the first Cord Cutters in 2007 when we subscribed to Netflix's streaming service (on a 6 Mbit DSL line that met 95% of our needs along with occasional TV season purchases and/or movies we didn't want to wait for). I have saved $1,000s by cutting the cord and our streaming bill has never exceeded $50/month with turning on/off Paramount+, Netflix, Apple TV+, and Peacock for the Olympics. Only permanent stream is Disney+/Hulu/ESPN bundle that has creeped up to $29/month but have $10/month rebate through a credit card. Also have great success with Streamfab (I know a lot of people it hasn't worked for) in building out TV/Movie library that now sits on a QNAP TS-262 with 8 GB RAM and 24 GB shucked Seagate and 21 GB Shucked Seagate (with a 2.5 GBe backbone with hard wire through MOCA 2.5 GBe adapters) Also have WiFi for various phones and tablets I have laying everywhere around the house. No transcoding required and backed up on a QNAP TS-231P (that was my first NAS replacing Windows Home Servers and was only used ). As it was only for a streaming box felt no need for NAS Hard drives and were backed up to multiple external hard drives. The OG HD are still being used in the TS-231P and used as B/U for the TS-262. Still looking for an affordable off site B/U solution as the office I used to use for off site is no longer active (I'm retired).
