New laptop battery issue

i bought a new Dell precision m60, but it's battery is empty. i mean, when i turn it on, the power and charge lights are on, but when bios loads about 80% ,laptop turns off...and i don't find a way how to leave it to charge.
BTW- leaving it turned off with the cable in don't work.

the problem is... that i bought it from second-hand thingy. and the warranty expired i think...but mayby you know where can i check the waranty?on loptop or somwhere?
