So I'm assembling my first computer, got the case, got the mobo got the cpu.
2 questions
The case came with a mapping of the chords, however it does not tell me which is the positive wire and which is the negative wire for any of the things. Each plugin has a white wire and only one of them is oficially printed as negative.... are all the white wires the negative side?
2 (probably the more important question) my CPU came with a heat sink. I have taken great care to keep the bottom in the packaging as it appears to have some kind of film on a square inside. Is this pre-applied heat paste? is it okay to take it out of the packaging and apply it directly to the cpu? maybe slide it around a little to make sure that the whole top gets a coating or just set it ontop?
