No files on mp3 player

i just bought a 2 gb sylvania blue mp3 player and downloaded the music i have on my computer which are all mp3 format songs into my mp3 player the program i used was windows media player and it said that the download was sucessful but when i went to listen to the music my mp3 player said there were no files so i tried to see if it would download them again but the media player says song already on device but when i click on the mp3 player it says no files on the device please help me fix what is wrong

Are you using the 'sync' function in WMP? If so, all should be fine unless the MP3 player doesn't support that, which I doubt it wouldn't.

Did it come with any software? (On a CD inside the packaging) If it did, you should try with the software they have supplied. Or, if it supports drag 'n' drop, you could try that.

If jtickner1's suggestion doesn't work, then you could try to format the player with WMP (this will delete all files on the Player, then sync the player with WMP again.
