    As near as I can tell, your motherboard is basic PCI-E (known now as version 1 ). Most video cards are version 2 or 3 - and some of those may not be compatible with your motherboard. You only have a 300 watt power supply and you need to keep the power requirement for the replacement at about the same level (45 watts).
