My point is that the majority of parents who has a child killed by a drunk driver will probably change their opinion if they were once an opponent

....yeah sure and a child shot will change peoples thoughts on gun laws, giving up rights do to unfortunate situations doesn't mean laws should cater to the worst case scenario. If that was the case you should just sign away all your rights now. To quote a great man somewhere in time "$hit happens" perhaps stopping drunk driving should be done at the ethical and moral levels instead of relying on laws stripping away rights, the only reason it happens I'd because people allow it to happen, not teaching children and setting an example to not do this kind of behaviour. Social decay at it's finest.
