Hi i keep getting a error message which reads (CmdlineExtInstallerExe.exe - Unable To Locate Component) and underneath that it reads (This application has failed to start because OLEACC.dll was not found. Re-installing may fix this problem.) This started to happen after attempting to install Farcry 2 and is now effecting other software.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the software but it does'nt change anything the problem still occurs. I am using Vista Home Premium 64-Bit and I cant find a way to re-install the missing dll file. I have also downloaded CleanMyPc registry cleaner and have scanned and corrected my registry but that has'nt cured the problem either.

Does anyone know why this has happened and how I can fix it?

Any advice will be most welcome

Thanks

Do a Gargle search for OLEACC.dll. and you will come up with plenty of screens for free downloads to fix the problem, good advice, technical information, and so on.

Taking a look at a Google search for OLEACC.dll is serious advice, but we do not like to advertise Google, so use Live Search if you prefer.
There is ample information on drivers and technical evaluation of Oleacc.dll problems that will be presented if you simply search for OLEACC.dll

I have been searching the internet for a way to fix this problem and every site I go on ends up trying to sell me a registry cleaner. I have a registry cleaner and i have scanned and fixed my registry and starting a new scan now shows no errors. So I have no idea what to do next.

Tried folling your instructions on the above post and it didnt work an administator d.d.s. box opened and inside it read this tool does not support your operating system. This happened with all three

OK that will do it!

So do this. not sure if it is compatable with Vista 64 either!
Download RSIT
http://images.malwareremoval.com/random/RSIT.exe

Run it, when finished it will open a log Maximized on the screen, copy/paste the contents of this log back here then close that log.

Then the 2nd log is Minimized so Max it and post it also to a separate post.
The logs will contain a HighJackThis log also.

Edit and erase all of those! Pasting into the thread is against the rules and hard to read.

ATTACH the logs.
