hey all

if my mobo's got on board graphics and naturally i want to install a better graphics card so i can game, do i have to disable onboard graphics via the BIOS? if so, how do i do this and what happens after that, do i slot the card in and that's it?

Any replies greatly appreciated

Most motherboards will choose to use the PCI-e over the on-board video without you having to change anything.

While I personally don't know of any motherboards that do need a manual change, you would have to do so in the BIOS as you expected. If you need more help, let us know what the brand and model of the board in question, and I can find a manual online and step you through it. Or at the very least let you know if you have to even change anything in the BIOS.
