PC good enough to run vista basic???

hello,

i have a pc which has-

amd sempron 2500+(possibly upgrading to athlon xp 2600)
640mb ram
ati 9600pro graphics card
40gb hdd
300watt psu

do you guys think my pc might be good enough to run vista basic???
as i might buy it

By the way, even though on the same page they say 1 GB is fine for Vista Home Premium the consensus is you need 2 Gigs to run it well. I concur from experience on my daughter's laptop.

So even when they say 512, I wouldn't run basic without at least a gig. Just my 2 cents worth.
