PC Not working

hi all

im having some trouble with my computer its an Acer t620 stock standard except an extra 512mb ram stick.

when i try to turn it on the power button lights up and the fans start but that is as far as i get the monitor also says "no input signal going to sleep".
I also noticed that the cd/dvd light was blinking fast somtimes it blinks for a few seconds then nothing i cant find the problem and i dont think its reading disks either, the power chord is conected
as is the monitor.

i have taken out the little battery then put it back in that did nothing, i have also cleaned out the dust, checkd that the wires were connected, i even tried taking out the two sticks of RAM but it did the same thing it didnt even beep...

it has a gigabyte 915 motherboard

any help would be appreciated thanks

So, does it post (beep) at all?
If so, how many beeps?
Try taking one stick of ram out and rebooting, then swapping for the other stick of ram (one installed at a time), see what happens.
Video is defnitely connected? What graphics card is it, and does it have a fan attached? If so, does it run when you power the pc on?
