Planning to get new Speakers ... Ideas plz!!!

Hello! I'm planning to buy new speakers since my old one is super crappy. Here is this one that I wanted to get, nice and cheap . Please give some opinions on this:

Seems like you started another thread on exactly the same thing and linked this same set. Anyway, I'd pick the ones that are in your price range and audition them if you can. Those probably aren't to bad, but I personally think you can get some Altec's for about that price that will sound better.

Please avoid setting another similar thread in the future...as i have said earlier, its up to you whether if it sounds good or not. Audition the speakers with your favourite cds, different speakers can perform well while playing a certain genre of musics.

My personal favorite speakers are Definitive Technology, they are $4500 a pair. Just kidding. It seems you are set on the Yamaha set. There's nothing wrong with them so go for it.
