Printer Configuration

I am facing a printer configuration problem for my MD's Laptop.
Laptop is with WinXp Operating system configured locally.

I have a printer which is configurd on a m/c which in Domain.I have configures that printer to my MD's laptop , now when MD takes away the laptop for home, then that printer gets Disconnected , where as when laptop is connected again to network still the printer is in disconnected mode , then i need to delet it and again configur it for MD. This has happend for 3 to 4 time or more than that , i would like to get help to from to configure printer in such way that when ever MD Connects laptop To my net work printer configured should get Enabled.

Try a dedicated printserver like the Netgear PS110 which takes up to 2 printers (parallel cables). The printserver itself connects to your hub/switch/router, as is your laptop and other PCs.
This way, the printer will always be available as soon as you reconnect your laptop, due to the driver that is installed on the laptop (and other PCs) for this printserver.
