Hello everyone !!

Yesterday i bought a new computer but when i tried to install windows xp i got a problem:"disk boot failure, please insert system disk and press enter".

what need i to do order to solve the problem?

You need to go into the BIOS {usually by pressing DEL at the 1st screen}, look for BOOT menu, {probably has it's own TAB, or is in Advanced Chipset Features} and set it to boot from CD, then HDD. That way it will boot from your Windows CD and begin setup.

yes. i knew that.

are you think that the problem is in my DVD-R? because i dont safe that he work .. and i thought that the problem is because the computer is new ..

It could be.

Is it being found by the BIOS? If not, check the Cables.

Make sure the CD isn't badly scratched or dirty as it may fail to read.

Tanx to all of you,i will try that later.:}

What is the name of the addition that connect the belt with the DVD-R?: HDD\CD-ROM?
