Question on how to network 2 computers

Good news so far with the router. I assume your connecting to the Net OK.
Try pinging the router. I guess you're using XP Home.

yeah connecting to the net ok, it pings the router but i can't open the configuration thing both the desktop and laptop are running xp pro sp2

Try typing the address as http://192.168.0.1/

 

[Dragon]

doesn't work, i get a gateway time out
