once powered on computer takes nearly 20mins to be able to access anything on the desktop.(this computer has no factory restore, only able to restore to a point and has to earlier dates.) (dont have another copy of xp) Is this fixable?
also diplays this message upon start up: Windows cannot find 'c:\PROGRA-1\softwa-1\soproc.exe'. make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. to search for a file click the start button, and then click search. (this always pops up when loading up, no box to uncheck for not startup with computer)
Also, when ctrl,alt,del is pressed can only access log out and when start menu is pressed. the only way comp can be shut down is by clicking log out, then shut down) Ive already done a scan with norton 360 and cleaned everything but the computer takes forever to process any applications.
Ive checked msconfig and had quite a few start up programs...so i narrowed it down to around 20 or so start ups. (not too sure what I need checked or unchecked either.)
