Realtek AC97 ticking

my PC have a realtek AC97 driver , the problem is when i listen to MP3s i keep noticing little ticking ( very small but it bothers ) , i tried to install the latest driver , but i still have the exact same problem..
any idea what to do?

Are you sure it is your soundcard and not poor quality MP3s?

You can try reducing interference by muting all the inputs on the audio controller.

yeh i'm 100% sure coz i listen to the same MP3's on my other PC with no problem, i tried what u said and it's still the same .

If you have onboard sound, this is where the "ticking" is coming from. The sound device isn't very advanced and generates strange sounds like that. I hate it.
