I'm looking for a digital vid camera and recorder combo for home use. Anyone knows any good models/brands/websites where I can find more info?

Great to hear. If you haven't tried it already, try www.google.com for a search engine. Its what I use 99% of the time and I am always happy with the returns.

I've tried google b4 posting here. The sites that got returned didn't really meet my expectations

Nopes, not yet. Most of the cams are rather high and out of my budget. I guess I'll have to settle for just a digital cam once my pocket is filled again
