Reinstalled windows now having trouble with sound

Hi guys I'm back, well i reinstalled windows computer is working better however I do not have sound. when I us pc doctor to check audo , the midi works but the wav said wave player unable to open I get that message after I click the right left and both ? any advice? Thanks Shannon
