SATA Newbie Question

My current MBB doesn't have any SATA ports on it. I'm thinking of getting a new HDD that will be just for my OS load and program files. I want something smallish and fast but would also like it to support a newer inteface, like SATA 2.

Is there such a thing as a "SATA PCI card" that is analogous to a SCSI card that will allow me to use a SATA 2 card in a machine that doesn't currently have a MBB that supports SATA natively?

I was considering this drive:
DiamondMax Plus 10 80 GB, SATA/150, Model 6B080M0

Thanks.

Sure there are! serial ATA controller cards, available at your local parts store. Here is a sample of what they look like.
