Scanner of HP Printer 5200 series does not open any longer

Suddenly, I can't open the scanner. Any solution besides buying a new multifunction printer?

Scanners sometimes stick or get out of registration. Try a full power cycle....turn off, unplug, let sit, the replug and restart.

If it doesn't work, you may want to download repair and/or system manual from HP.

If you have the original Install CD:

• uninstall the printer & scanner
• reboot
• reinstall
