$secure On Hdd? What Is It

I looked via dos at my hard drive doing ''dir'' and it came up with $SECURE,
now my hdd says 0 bytes free.
What is it????

files and folders which begin with '$' are another form of hidden files.

if your free space has gone to zero, suspect a virus.
