Sempron 2800+ Vs Sempron 3000+

My Mobo says the Sempron 3000+ is the highest CPU that it will take, I currently have a Sempron 2800+ is it worth upgrading can get a second hand CPU for about £10 finding it difficult to see what the benefit might be

My Vista number is 2.7 held back by CPU performance

Not really... doubt you can detect the difference except on very specific program runs.

the following is a lsit of suitable processors, not sure which is the fastest, I assumed ( Possibly wrongly ) that the Sempron 3000+ was the fastest, but I am told Athlons are much faster

Does anyone know which is the fastest and should I assume this list to be the ONLY CPUs I should use

Semprons are pretty much the budget 'Athlons'. I would say from that list the Athlon 3200+ is the fastest, however, I've heard the old school Semprons are great overclockers, so if you're into overclocking I would go for the Sempron as it might overclock higher then an Athlon.
