Setting up a Wireless Network with a BEFW11S4

I am trying to setup a wireless network using a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless Router. However, I am unable to receive any signal from the router on either laptop (firmware up to date). I tried disabling every single security feature on the router (for testing), but I still do not receive any signal. I have also made sure the channels were all correct and that the SSID Broadcasting was enabled. Is there something that comes to mind to anyone?

Did you enable the wireless functionality?

And you should turn off all security until it works.

Yes, All security has been previously turned off and Wireless capability turned on.

Have you tried changing the SSID to something other than the default?

actually sounds like thr RF is disabled. My laptop has two ways to disable wireless,
software disable the driver and an external switch on the case.
as you say EITHER laptop, it looks like one should be active, so I would go back
to the router and make sure Wireless is enabled, save the settings, and then
restart/reboot it.
