I have an iPhone SE I've had a few years, yesterday I plugged it into recharge the battery, a few hours later I checked it to see if it was full yet & was greeted by a message saying something about being updated to iOS 15.7.2, I don't recall what the next screen said but it would not let me get to the desktop, it also said something about the SIM card , don't recall exactly. I googled how to reset my iphone, one of many told me to push up volume & let go, ditto for down volume & push side button, NO side button,, obviously nothing worked. I finally quit trying & googled how to remove SIM card, I did such & it finally went to desktop & working fine. This iphone NEVER had a phone number attached to it, should I wrap it in paper to safely store it or ??? TIA
