Slow Computer

Hello, I am running a dell deminsions 2400 w/a

2.8 CPU and 1024 RAM. A few days ago

my unit slowed almost to a standstill.

it is practically useless if you

don't have all day to sit watching

nothing happen.

The task manager show 100 % usage.

Checking out the process window in the

manager none of the active processes

are out of the nome and all of them

added together does not come close to

being a 100%. There were no recent installs or downloads. Can anybody point me in the right direction to solving this problem. I miss my computer.

To begin with run CCleaner (let me know if this increases the response afterwards)

Next confirm Antivirus is up to date and do a full scan
Next run Malwarebytes, and remove anything found

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back. Been on Vacation. The CCleaner worked wonders on my unit. For a second, I was startled at the quick responses I was getting. Since the unit was given me by my daughter it has never been this fast. Kimsland thank you so much.
