Hi.....thank you in advance for your help. I reinstaled windows xp pro 2002.....my sound doesn't work. It appears that my "old" computer has an on board sound card on the mother board. I looked in sounds in the control panel and it says my sound card is working properly, still no sound. speakers are plugged in correctly. The volume in control panel is up, not muted. How can i fix this??

After you reinstalled windows, did you install your motherboard's drivers?
If you don't have a system disk that came with your computer, you can go to the makers site and download the drivers from there.
Without the drivers, your system will not work properly.
