Hi gang,
I recently did a full virus scan using Norton Anti Virus. It flagged up one virus on the system. This being the sb32mon.exe spyware spybuddy virus. I tried to delete it but it reported it as failed.
I then visited the Symantec web for any more diagnosis for this (http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/spyware.spybuddy.html) ubnfortuantely, none of them helped.
I have tried to see if its in the registry and cannot find a entry for it, I have checked to see if its in the programs folder, used add/remove to fix it, but there is no trace of this program or any of its associated files on my box, yet Nortonm is reporting it as a virus it has found on the system.
It's risk factor is listed as "high" on the Symantec site and I am concerned of using my machine until the bug is removed.
Has anyone come across this before, or does anyone know who best to remove it?
Many Thanks
