Ok, if you want to play Star Citizen, go jump in with a small twitch streamer, watch youtube how to play videos, or a friend that plays. This is not a game you can just start up and play by yourself. It is complex, with a lot moving and yes buggy parts. If you just jump in you will just get frustrated and say "This game sucks". And it will for you because you won't know how to play, SC is different BTW to walk faster or slower just scroll wheel up or down.
The map is about a 1/6 of the size of our solar system and would take about a year to cross without a Quantum drive, even then travel can take ten or twenty minutes between locations with a slow drive. You can start on a planet, go to spcae, fly to a moon land anywhere on it without a single loading screen, it's all one map.
While it is a sand box, game loops there is pvp and pve, trading and mining with more planned. Think GTA with effective law enforcement (this include pvp bounty hunting, get gud before you try that). Most ships can be bought in game if you grind enough credits. I watched a streamer buy a hammerhead anti fighter corvette with in game credits.
New content is released about every quarter, so there is always something new to checkout and experience
Fair warning you will deal with bugs every time you play, and it will be best and worst gaming experience you will ever have. It is not a game for everyone yet, but the level of detal and care the dev put in to it is there for you to see.
If you decide to jump in welcome to the verse. You will find the community the friendliest in gaming for the most part. Just jump into general chat and ask if you have questions.
Good luck and fly unsafe
